BOB Gateway adds Stock and ETF Tokens on Robinhood Chain

BOB Gateway just added 44 new routes for Stock and ETF Tokens on Robinhood Chain. Send BTC from any Bitcoin wallet and receive ETH, USDG, cbBTC, or one of 44 tokenised US stocks and ETFs, including NVDA, AAPL, TSLA, plus ETFs such as SPY, QQQ, GLD, SLV and SGOV. Every route works in both directions, so a Stock Token swaps back to native BTC on the Bitcoin network too.

From BTC to NVDA in one transaction

A Bitcoin holder who wants exposure to a stock onchain usually faces a long road: sell BTC on an exchange, withdraw a stablecoin, bridge it to the right chain, find a DEX, buy the token. Each step is a fee, a wait and a counterparty.

On BOB Gateway it is one swap. You pick BTC as the input and the Stock Token as the output, send Bitcoin, and the token arrives in your wallet on Robinhood Chain. Stock Tokens track the share. They are not the share.

It is worth being precise about what you receive. Stock Tokens are tokenised debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. Each one tracks the price of an underlying stock or ETF and gives the holder economic exposure to it. It does not give the holder ownership of the underlying shares or any legal or beneficial rights in them. Dividends and stock splits are handled through an onchain multiplier that adjusts what each token represents.

Stock Tokens are standard ERC-20 tokens minted on Robinhood Chain, which is why they can be held in an ordinary wallet, moved onchain and traded on a DEX. That is also why BOB Gateway can route Bitcoin into them. For the full terms, see Robinhood's stock token documentation.

Stock and ETF Tokens are not available to US persons or to residents of Canada, the UK, Switzerland or other restricted jurisdictions. Robinhood publishes the full list of restricted and prohibited jurisdictions.

Still non-custodial, end to end

These routes run on the same guarantees as every other BOB Gateway swap. A solver locks the funds for your swap in a smart contract before you send a single satoshi.
