Yes BOB Gateway is non-custodial. It uses atomic cross-chain swaps and an on-chain Bitcoin Light Client. At no point does BOB or any third party take custody of your assets. The protocol is trust minimized - solvers cannot take your Bitcoin without completing the swap, and you cannot receive tokens without sending BTC.
BOB Gateway offers some of the lowest fees on the market for BTC swaps. There are a few components include in your BOB Gateway quote: gas costs on the destination chain (estimated upfront and deducted automatically - you don't to hold the destination gas token), protocol fees, and any routing fees. Origin gas is not included in the quote and is calculated in your wallet when you sign the transaction.
