Router Protocol Integrates BOB Gateway

Router Protocol has integrated the BOB Gateway API, adding native Bitcoin liquidity paths to its EVM routing infrastructure.

Router is a crosschain execution protocol that routes transactions across 60+ chains, aggregating bridges (Stargate, Across, LayerZero, Wormhole, and others) and DEXs to find the best path for every swap. Its pathfinder algorithm evaluates speed, fees, slippage and reliability in real time. The user never chooses a bridge. The routing engine does.

Now that BOB Gateway is integrated into Router, it's one of the paths the routing engine evaluates. When a swap involves Bitcoin and BOB Gateway offers the best execution, it wins the route automatically.

Supported assets: BTC <-> wBTC, USDT, USDC (where BOB currently has the best rates across 11 chains), ETH. More chains and assets coming.

Dapps get automatic access to BOB's BTC routes

Router has an app and an API, which is used by teams building everything from wallets to trading interfaces. That means BOB Gateway's native BTC routes are now accessible to both Router's direct users and every application integrated with their API.

One integration into Router's execution layer, and BOB Gateway reaches an entire network of downstream apps and developers.

Zero fees for 3 months

To celebrate the integration, Router is removing frontend fees on all BOB Gateway-supported BTC routes and setting BOB Gateway as the recommended routing for BTC flows. The program runs for three months.

Part of a bigger picture

BOB is building a Bank of Bitcoin - a platform for swapping, saving, earning and borrowing, all on Bitcoin rails. BOB Gateway is the distribution layer: an API that brings native BTC routes to the protocols, wallets and infrastructure where users already are.

Router is now live. More integrations are coming.
